Before the puzzle was completely unveiled, many viewers of Wheel of Fortune believed it was impossible for anyone to solve it. However, one contestant amazed both the audience and host Ryan Seacrest with a quick response that not only earned her a significant prize but also put an end to a long losing streak on the beloved game show.

Rachel Granier from Lafayette, Louisiana, faced off against Neal James from Hoffman Estates, Illinois, and Nilou Rastegar from San Diego during the episode aired on May 23, 2025. Over a year later, the official Instagram account of the show revisited this unforgettable moment, engaging followers with the caption: “2 out of 23 letters. Can you solve it?”

The puzzle in question was from the “Colorful Language” category and seemed nearly impossible with only a few clues visible. With most of the board blank except for the letters “P _ _ K,” Granier buzzed in after a moment of hesitation.

To the astonishment of nearly everyone watching, she confidently declared, “Yellowstone National Park.”

The studio erupted in cheers as host Ryan Seacrest expressed his amazement.

“Wow! Yes!” Seacrest exclaimed after confirming her answer.

Her fellow contestants also applauded her incredible solve, acknowledging just how challenging the puzzle had been with so few letters shown.

Granier maintained that momentum for the rest of the game, finishing with $22,200 and securing a place in the Bonus Round.

For the final puzzle, she chose the category “Phrase.” After receiving the usual letters R, S, T, L, N, and E, she added C, M, P, and O. Unfortunately, none of her selected consonants appeared, making the puzzle seem nearly impossible.

Once a couple of O’s were revealed, Granier quickly pieced together the initial words, recognizing “Your Journey.” As the countdown continued, she thought aloud and realized the last word had to be “Awaits,” successfully solving the phrase “Your Journey Awaits.”

Her impressive finish netted her an extra $40,000, raising her total to $62,200 and ending a 19-game Bonus Round losing streak on the show.

The viral clip on Instagram quickly ignited discussions among fans, with many admitting they were completely misled by the earlier puzzle.

Several viewers shared that they fixated on the visible ending “P _ _ K” and assumed the answer was related to the color pink.

One commenter humorously claimed they were convinced the solution was “Color Me Pink,” while another confessed they couldn’t stop seeing “pink” no matter how long they stared at the puzzle. A third person echoed this feeling, stating that the final letters completely confused them.

On the other hand, some insisted the answer came to them almost right away, with a few claiming they figured out “Yellowstone National Park” before Granier did.

Whether fans guessed it right away or were left puzzled, Granier’s outstanding performance became one of the season’s most discussed moments, demonstrating that sometimes just a few letters are all an experienced contestant needs to solve a seemingly impossible puzzle.
