There exist numerous fears in the world that can be quite daunting. Occasionally, these fears can escalate to the extent of developing into a phobia.
Arachnophobia is a prevalent problem characterized by an excessive fear of spiders. It extends beyond mere concern in the presence of a spider, manifesting as a genuine phobia.

Frequently, the problem can be prevented by either eliminating the spiders or vacating the premises. However, caution must be exercised when removing the spider as it might return to cause trouble.
A resident of Fresno, California experienced this incident. While trying to remove a spider, he went too far and required the assistance of the Fresno Fire Department.
The fire department took to Facebook to inform the public about the cause of a structure fire in West Fresno, revealing that the homeowner had inadvertently ignited the blaze while attempting to exterminate a spider with a torch.

It is unclear whether the homeowner had attempted any alternative methods before resorting to using a blowtorch to eliminate the spider. It is possible that the blowtorch was simply the first item he reached for, or it may have been conveniently located nearby. Regardless, the use of the blowtorch resulted in a fire that rapidly engulfed the building.
Fortunately, there were no injuries from the incident and the fire was extinguished before the building was completely destroyed. However, it is evident from the photos of the scene that the house will require significant repairs.
The most concerning thing is that we have no idea if he managed to catch the spider or not.
The fire department emphasized the importance of not using flammable devices for pest control, urging people to opt for safer methods or seek professional help instead of resorting to extreme measures like using a blow torch.
Sound advice, indeed.
