I totally admit that I’m not a fan of bugs in my house. During winter, I find myself checking every corner for spiders and other creepy crawlies. I don’t want to hurt them or anything; I just want to know where they are so I can avoid that room.
So, you can imagine my shock when I saw a weird picture going around on Facebook. It showed a strange “egg” that someone found in their home, and people were guessing what it could be.
Eventually, the mystery of the “egg” was figured out, but not before a lot of people started speculating online.
If you’re like me, you know that heart-pounding feeling when you spot a big spider in your space.
Since I was little, I’ve always had a strong dislike for spiders, just like I’ll run away from bees, wasps, and some aggressive ants.
I know that spiders aren’t really dangerous to me—thankfully, I don’t live in a place where they can be deadly—but that doesn’t make me any braver.
I’d like you to think about my reaction after I saw a picture on Facebook that almost made me feel sick.
It was about a so-called “egg” that a woman discovered in her house, right where the walls and ceiling meet. Many people who commented on the post were convinced it was a big spider egg, which would mean tons of baby spiders inside it.
The woman who shared the photo said she had no clue what that weird yellow ball was. She also wondered if there were more hidden in the darker corners of her home.
In the end, the secret of the “egg” turned out to be less exciting and more ordinary than some people might have hoped.
According to reports, the woman’s dad came over for a visit and quickly identified the “egg” as just some expanding foam that was used on the roof of the house. (I can totally relate to the huge sigh of relief I let out when I read that part!)
Did you recognize it as expanding foam just by looking at it? I had no idea! Share your thoughts in the comments!
