Heartbreak for Harry and William
Today, we are sad to say goodbye to a strong and important person – Lord Robert Fellowes, who was a cherished uncle to Prince Harry and Prince William. We remember him with love and honor the amazing impact he had on our lives.

A Trusted Advisor and a Beacon of Support
During difficult times and challenges, Lord Robert Fellowes was a steady support for the royal family. He was married to Jane Fellowes and worked as the late Queen’s private secretary from 1990 to 1999.
In the chaotic year of 1992, which many called the “annus horribilis” for the royal family, Lord Robert was there for the Queen, offering important advice and support. With Prince Charles going through a tough marriage, Prince Andrew’s split, and the terrible fire at Windsor Castle, Lord Robert stayed a faithful and reliable advisor.

A Life of Service and Dedication
Lord Robert Fellowes was born in 1941 at Sandringham House in Norfolk. He spent his life serving others. After going to Eton College, he joined the Scots Guards in 1960 and then moved into banking. His strong sense of duty brought him to the Royal Household, where he started as an Assistant Private Secretary in 1977. He worked hard and climbed the ranks to become Deputy Private Secretary and then Private Secretary, a role he held for an amazing 20 years. Queen Elizabeth II recognized his dedication by awarding him the Royal Household Long and Faithful Service Medal.
A Loving Husband and Devoted Father
Lord Robert Fellowes was a significant person in the royal family, but he was also a caring husband and a dedicated dad. He married Lady Jane Fellowes in 1978 at Westminster Abbey, and it was a happy event.
Lady Jane’s sister, Diana Spencer, who would later be known as Princess Diana, was a bridesmaid, making the day unforgettable for everyone. Lord Robert and Lady Jane had three kids together: Eleanor Ruth Fellowes, Alexander Robert Fellowes, and Laura Jane Fellowes. No matter what challenges they faced, their family always stood by each other, providing love and support.
Fond Remembrances of Princess Diana
The sad passing of Princess Diana in 1997 had a big impact on the royal family, and Lord Robert Fellowes felt it too. In a chat with The Telegraph, he remembered her amazing character and showed understanding for the difficulties she went through.
Lord Robert realized that happiness can be hard to find for people going through tough times, and this made him feel a deep sense of compassion and understanding for them.
Honoring Lord Robert Fellowes’ Legacy
As we say goodbye to Lord Robert Fellowes, we think about how much he meant to the royal family and many others. His strong loyalty, kindness, and dedication to helping others will always be remembered. He created a lasting legacy of love and support that affected everyone he met. We hope his soul finds peace forever.
