Reggaeton sensation Bad Bunny dazzled at the 2026 Grammys, making history as the first artist to win Album of the Year for a project entirely in Spanish.

However, it’s not solely his music that has fans enchanted.

With his upcoming Super Bowl halftime show, many are equally fascinated by the 31-year-old’s remarkable physical transformation.

Bursting onto the scene in his 20s

Can a 31-year-old truly get better with age? Fans certainly think Bad Bunny does.

Following a triumphant evening at the 2026 Grammys, where the Puerto Rican icon secured the prestigious Album of the Year award, and with the Super Bowl performance on the horizon, the Latin superstar is revealing a side of himself that the world hasn’t fully witnessed yet.

“I really need to know which God Bad Bunny prayed to achieve something like this,” one fan expressed online, echoing the astonishment of many. Another added: “Nah, Bad Bunny’s transformation is flawless. Incredible.”

It’s hard to fathom that nearly ten years have passed since Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio — known to many as Bad Bunny — first made his mark in his 20s.

In those early days, the Puerto Rican rapper was known for his buzzcuts and eye-catching outfits, standing out with his daring, experimental fashion sense.

At the 2026 Grammys, the 31-year-old star radiated charm and charisma in a sleek black velvet suit, his beard impeccably styled.

Bad Bunny has always approached fashion with intention.

“The eye symbolizes many things,” Bad Bunny shared back in 2018, after appearing at the American Music Awards with a third eye painted on his forehead.

“Power, self-trust, perceiving things that others overlook and don’t comprehend, both in the world and within yourself, and most importantly, always having the vision to progress, evolve, and enhance.”

The musician expressed that his love for fashion has always been an integral part of his identity, highlighting how shopping trips with his mother significantly influenced his distinctive style.

In 2022, he made a striking appearance on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar, donning a white gown reminiscent of bridal wear paired with a blazer. He shared with readers his reasons for pursuing his own unique path.

“I’m seizing this moment in my life where I can do whatever I want and wear whatever I choose,” the then 28-year-old stated, “allowing me to live more authentically.”

He continued, “I’m not doing this to gain more fame or to attract attention or to offend anyone. People from the outside might think I have a plan or that I dress this way to draw attention, but the truth is, I simply know who I am.”

In 2019, the superstar mentioned to Billboard, “My style influences my music and everything around it… Everyone should dress and express their creativity, their feelings, and their thoughts through their attire. Everyone should feel free in that aspect and let their minds flow.”

However, beyond his eye-catching fashion choices, fans have speculated that cosmetic surgery may have played a role in his changed appearance.

“The way Bad Bunny underwent all that surgery and looks completely different? Money well spent, though. He looks fantastic,” one fan commented.

Another remarked, “He has definitely had some work done. And that’s perfectly fine.”

“You can tell he had it all done: nose, lips, tan, eyebrows, teeth, chin, jawbone, cheeks, etc. It’s just sad,” another fan expressed.

“Rhinoplasty, buccal fat removal, facial fat grafting, chin reconstruction + implant, jaw reconstruction, veneers, gum reconstruction, a belly button tightening, and his fans say it was just weight loss,” another added.

At the same time, many fans defended Bad Bunny:

“It’s called maturing and embracing who you are. Let me remind you that the 2016 reggaeton scene DEMANDED artists to be light-skinned. Plus, the music is really amazing, so stay mad, haters,” one fan wrote.

“You all are so incredibly strange. He shed some body fat, built muscle, and grew facial hair,” another person remarked.

“He also aged like a fine wine, a decade older,” one admirer noted online, capturing the awe and admiration of countless fans who now view Bad Bunny not only as a music star but as a full-fledged cultural icon.

Bad Bunny’s dedication to transformation goes beyond just his appearance; it encompasses his fitness journey as well. After becoming a global ambassador for Calvin Klein underwear in March 2025, he embraced a strict regimen to refine his physique.

“I had an entire routine aimed at enhancing my physique and getting into peak condition for this campaign,” he shared with GQ. “I was eating extremely clean and training as much as I could.”

His pursuits in acting and wrestling required a new level of commitment. From clinching the WWE 24/7 Championship in 2021 to fully dedicating himself to his character as The Wolf in Bullet Train (2022), he threw himself into training and stunt preparation.

“The remarkable thing about Bad Bunny was that he came to us with limited preparation time but was fully aware of the challenge ahead,” stunt coordinator Greg Remente told Men’s Health. “He worked hard with us in our stunt workshop… He was always on the offensive. In just 20 minutes of training, we could instantly see his strength… Luckily, he’s a total badass. He showed up, started moving, and we thought, ‘Oh, this is going to be fantastic.’”

Even the invitation from Jay-Z to perform at the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show became part of his narrative.

“It’s wild because I was in the middle of a workout. I remember that after the call, I just did about 100 pull-ups,” he told Apple Music host Zane Lowe. “I didn’t need any more pre-workout stuff or anything. It was incredibly special. It was truly special.”
